Montana at Milano Green Week 2026<\/h1>\n

Three events, three locations, one common thread: Nature-Based Solutions<\/strong> as a concrete response to the environmental<\/strong> and climate challenges<\/strong> facing contemporary cities.<\/p>\n

For Milano Green Week 2026<\/strong>, Montana brought to the city a series of experiences<\/strong>, projects<\/strong> and results<\/strong> that reflect its commitment to designing innovative, sustainable and resilient solutions for the urban environment.<\/p>\n

NbS Day: Campus Bovisa Durando<\/h3>\n

On June 10th<\/strong>, together with Politecnico di Milano<\/strong>, Studio Laura Gatti<\/strong> and LAND<\/strong>, we opened the doors of the Bovisa Durando Campus<\/strong> for a guided tour dedicated to the regeneration works carried out through depaving<\/strong>, greening<\/strong> and strategies inspired by the sponge city model<\/strong>. The visit offered an opportunity to observe, first-hand, a concrete example of a water-positive<\/strong> approach applied to a university campus.<\/p>\n

On June 11th<\/strong>, with the support of Studio Laura Gatti<\/strong>, we guided participants through Parco 8 Marzo<\/strong>, one of the first parks in Milan designed according to the principles of Nature-Based Solutions<\/strong> and SuDS<\/strong>. Here, nature and water management come together to create a more welcoming<\/strong>, sustainable<\/strong> and resilient<\/strong> public space.<\/p>\n

On June 13th<\/strong>, our journey through Milano Green Week came to a close with the presentation of the results of Politecnico di Milano’s<\/strong> “ECHOES \u2013 Nosedo Polisocial Award<\/strong>” project, of which Montana is a partner.<\/p>\n

The session was dedicated to marcite<\/strong>, ancient agricultural irrigation systems that anticipated many of the principles underpinning today’s Nature-Based Solutions<\/strong> \u2014 highlighting their value as a body of knowledge to be preserved, rediscovered and reinterpreted in a contemporary key.<\/p>\n
