Montana alongside Bioenerys in 13 biomethane production plants

Inizio moduloSince 2023, Montana has been working alongside Bioenerys on the construction of 13 biomethane production plants, all included in the PNRR under renewable energy projects.

The projects involve existing agricultural facilities acquired by Bioenerys and subsequently upgraded and repurposed for biomethane production. The first three plants, located in Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Veneto, are now in operation, with two additional facilities nearing commissioning. Biomethane production has been ongoing since October 2025. For these projects, Montana delivered Owner’s Engineering services and acted as “Responsabile Lavori”.

For eight plants across Piedmont, Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna, Montana oversaw construction management as well as health and safety coordination throughout both the design and construction phases. For a further two facilities, Montana developed the detailed engineering design, further reinforcing its role as Bioenerys’ technical partner in the transition to biomethane.

Through these activities, Montana is contributing concretely to the growth of the national biomethane value chain, with each of the 13 plants delivering a production capacity of at least 500 Smc/h.
