Montana at Milano Green Week 2026
Three events, three locations, one common thread: Nature-Based Solutions as a concrete response to the environmental and climate challenges facing contemporary cities.
For Milano Green Week 2026, Montana brought to the city a series of experiences, projects and results that reflect its commitment to designing innovative, sustainable and resilient solutions for the urban environment.
NbS Day: Campus Bovisa Durando
On June 10th, together with Politecnico di Milano, Studio Laura Gatti and LAND, we opened the doors of the Bovisa Durando Campus for a guided tour dedicated to the regeneration works carried out through depaving, greening and strategies inspired by the sponge city model. The visit offered an opportunity to observe, first-hand, a concrete example of a water-positive approach applied to a university campus.

NbS Day: Parco 8 Marzo
On June 11th, with the support of Studio Laura Gatti, we guided participants through Parco 8 Marzo, one of the first parks in Milan designed according to the principles of Nature-Based Solutions and SuDS. Here, nature and water management come together to create a more welcoming, sustainable and resilient public space.

ECHOES – Nosedo Polisocial Award
On June 13th, our journey through Milano Green Week came to a close with the presentation of the results of Politecnico di Milano’s “ECHOES – Nosedo Polisocial Award” project, of which Montana is a partner.
The session was dedicated to marcite, ancient agricultural irrigation systems that anticipated many of the principles underpinning today’s Nature-Based Solutions — highlighting their value as a body of knowledge to be preserved, rediscovered and reinterpreted in a contemporary key.
Taking part in Milano Green Week 2026 was an important opportunity for Montana to exchange ideas and share knowledge. Through case studies and real-world experience, we showed how collaboration between professionals, institutions, universities and communities can generate innovative solutions and produce lasting benefits for territories and cities alike.
Thank you to the professionals who worked with us to make this event a success, and to everyone who took part with such curiosity and interest.
See you at the next edition!
