Montana strengthens collaboration with South Korea on NbS and urban resilience

Following the MOU signed in 2025, we’ve recently consolidated the collaboration with the seminar “Nature-based Solutions for Climate Adaptation, Hydraulic Neutrality and Urban Resilience in Busan“, together with Dong-A University and Pusan National University.

A meeting of complementary expertise: Korea’s decade-long experience in LID research, large-scale implementation and performance monitoring, and Montana’s track record across European and Middle Eastern projects – data centres, university campuses, urban regeneration and major masterplans – integrating water, flooding, landscape, biodiversity and climate resilience.

With Korea’s new Water Circulation Promotion Zones designated in June 2026 and a national NbS evaluation framework under development, a concrete field for cooperation is opening up: applied research, real demonstrators, Global Capstone projects, Horizon Europe, joint monitoring with municipalities and water utilities.

Nature-based Solutions are part of a broader shift toward resilient, biomimetic infrastructure and cities. It’s by joining forces across research, engineering, and different cultures that real change happens.
