SiCon 2026: registrations open for SuRF Italy

The 2026 edition of SiCon,and in particular the session dedicated to sustainable remediation, represented a strategic opportunity for dialogue with institutions and associations — including ISPRA, ARPA Umbria, Ferrara Expo, and Assoreca — aimed at sharing visions, data and innovative solutions on environmental regeneration and innovation applied to remediation processes. The aim was to foster concrete, responsible and sustainable interventions, starting from emblematic cases such as the wider area of Taranto.

During the event, the official opening of enrolment for SuRF Italy was also announced — the first Italian Forum on Sustainable Remediation, relaunched thanks to the collaboration between Assoreca and Ferrara Expo, and of which Montana is already a member. The initiative was created with the aim of promoting sustainable remediation as a benchmark standard for both the public and private sectors in Italy, by raising stakeholder awareness, developing dedicated regulatory and operational tools, and actively participating in the technical and scientific debate at both national and international levels.
