Campus Bovisa Durando: NBS and SuDS solutions for the new PoliMi space

A site inspection at the Bovisa Durando Campus of Politecnico di Milano highlights the ongoing development of a new campus space that will soon be available to students.

The NBS / SuDS solutions currently being implemented go beyond simple “green” elements; they function as integrated climate and water infrastructure. They support groundwater recharge, enable stormwater reuse with consequent water savings, mitigate the urban heat island effect, and enhance cooling capacity and microclimatic comfort—while also creating more livable and welcoming outdoor spaces.
